Our Story.

THE START OF BRIDGING TECH
"We are two young women from Stanford University who share a passion for supporting educational equity. When the COVID-19 pandemic put the world on pause, we came together to advocate for technology distribution and help children affected by homelessness continue to attend school. Thankfully, many of our friends and fellow students felt the same drive, and all of us worked hard every day to try to make a difference.

Our respective experiences shaped our vision for the organization. Isabel's early involvement in race-relations and public-health initiatives informed her passion for improving equity through community engagement. Margot's experiences volunteering at a Bay Area women's shelter opened her eyes to the direct challenges created by a lack of access to technology. Combining our efforts, and with immense support from our co-founding board members, we created Bridging Tech to not only address the need for technology access in children's development, but also open educational paths for the students we serve.

By providing school-aged children affected by homelessness with laptops for learning, we hope to help students access the resources they need to fully interact with our tech-driven world."

They always cared about the digital divide; now they’ve seen too much to walk away from it.
