Professor Anne Charity Hudley
Professor Anne Charity Hudley is the North Hall Endowed Chair in the Linguistics of African America and the Director of Undergraduate Research for the Office of Undergraduate Education at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has conducted extensive research on the language variation and educational policies for underrepresented students in higher education. She has authored three books on topics of language variation and underrepresented students. Her many publications have been published in over seven journals and four book collections. In addition to her vast academic accomplishments, she also serves on the Executive Committee of the Linguistic Society of America, and has previously served as a consultant to several entities, including the National Research Council Committee on Language and Education. We are delighted and proud to announce that Dr. Anne Charity Hudley will be joining us in our first ever benefit, which will be held virtually in March.
