MARGOT BELLONCo-Founder and Executive DirectorMargot Bellon is a rising senior at Stanford University majoring in Biology and minoring in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. At Stanford, she is involved with volunteer work at a local Palo Alto homeless shelter called the Heart and Home Collaborative, where she directly witnesses technology inequity in the Bay Area. She also conducts research on sexual assault prevention work on campus and has been involved with advocacy work for Planned Parenthood. After graduation, she will pursue a Master's in Epidemiology at Stanford and has aspirations of becoming a physician in order to directly address disparities in women's health. In her free time, Margot enjoys long distance running and engaging in all things outdoors!

ISABEL WANGCo-Founder and Executive DirectorIsabel Wang is a rising senior at Stanford University studying Symbolic Systems, an interdisciplinary major focusing on the interactions between computer science, neuroscience, psychology, linguistics, and philosophy. She grew up actively leading community initiatives improving race relations and public health with a focus on educational equity. At Stanford University, Isabel continued her passion for social justice by researching interventions for equitable children's education at the Stanford Graduate School of Education, and improving technology that provides educational empowerment to youth, parents, educators, and healthcare workers in low and middle income countries. Outside of her academics, Isabel enjoys acting, helping the elderly, and personally researching human behavior and the mind.

Noah Brazer is a Stanford University student who is currently majoring in biology. Since coming to Stanford, he has had the opportunity to work with local high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a native to the Bay Area, education inequity and the digital divide within the Bay Area are especially important issues for him. In his free time, Noah loves to run, play the flute, and study foreign languages. He hopes to become a practicing physician and use his language skills to help disadvantaged patients who do not speak English.

CAROLINE CAREYMentorship Team MemberCaroline is a sophomore at Duke University studying Computer Science, Economics, and Art History. She is passionate about educational inequality and at Duke she is part of the Bull City Scholars program where she tutors local middle schoolers. She is also working for the DPS Foundation to raise money for the Durham Public Schools system and to strengthen the connection between Duke and the Durham community. In addition, Caroline works for the Coding School, an organization that provides affordable Computer Science education to middle and high school students.

Madeleine Charity is a rising sophomore at Stanford majoring in Computer Science on the Artificial Intelligence track. She has always been passionate about educational equity. Throughout high school she volunteered at an educational enrichment nonprofit where she tutored low income middle school students of color. She also led initiatives about race and inequality in her community. She hopes to continue her work with educational and racial equity by using her computer science degree to create more equitable technology. In her free time, Madeleine loves to travel, explore new foods, and read.

Niki Flamen is a recent graduate of Stanford University where she studied economics and data science. While at Stanford, her academic and extracurriculars focused on financial literacy, especially for women and minorities. She hopes to help close the gap in female economic outcomes through increased and specialized education programs. In January, Niki will start full-time as an analyst for the equity capital markets division at Evercore before pursuing a master's degree related to business and/or education. Outside of work and school, Niki loves to travel, cook, and read.

Mahlet Getahun is a rising sophomore at Stanford University studying Symbolic Systems. She's extremely passionate about utilizing technology to enrich the lives of those in underserved communities. She's led educational initiatives that've made global and nationwide impacts. On campus, she's involved with Stanford Ethiopian Eritrean Student Association and Women and Youth Supporting Each Other. In her free time, she loves to read and write, research cool topics, and spend time with her loved ones.

Zach Grech is currently working toward a coterminal Masters of Science in Sustainability Science and Practice, and was a Management Science and Engineering undergrad on the Finance and Decision-Making track. He played all four undergrad years as a pitcher on the Stanford baseball team, with this year being his last since he got an extra year of NCAA eligibility due to COVID cancelling last year's season. Growing up Zach volunteered at the Miracle League, helping children and adults with disabilities play baseball! After school, he hopes to work in the finance industry but focusing on renewable energy companies and technologies.

Charlotte Hallisey is a freshman at Duke University who is majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Finance. She has previously worked with international charities helping to promote educational equity including Girls Health Champions and She's The First. At Duke Charlotte is involved in research with the Ospri Laon a project called CSbyUs, where she researches and develops open source computer science curricula for elementary and middle school grades to advance educational equity. Charlotte is passionate about tackling systemic issues of educational equity and enjoys mentoring others.

When she is not studying, Sarrah enjoys reading, cooking, and playing card games.

Hannah Howell is currently a masters student at Stanford University working towards a degree in Sustainable Science and Practice. During her undergrad, she majored in Art History while competing on the Varsity softball team. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring students- both in the classroom and in athletics. Her freshman year at Stanford she began tutoring with Ravenswood Reads, a program that teaches elementary kids reading skills in East Palo Alto. Outside of school, Hannah enjoys travelling and playing golf.

At Stanford, she is going to be a coxswain on the Women’s Lightweight Rowing team. While she intends on pursuing an international relations major, she is using her gap year to explore a breadth of interests and hobbies, including marketing, graphic design, entrepreneurship, and foreign languages. In her free time, Maya loves to paint, hike, ski, and travel.

Alaina Lim is a junior at Stanford majoring in computer science and mathematics. At Stanford, she is involved in research about the applications of CS in healthcare, the Stanford University Math Organization, and women in STEM initiatives. Alaina is passionate about uplifting Cambodian-American communities, refugee rights, inclusivity in tech, and ultimately creating a more equitable world for all. Aditi is a sophomore at Stanford University, and is excited about educational equity and cancer research. She co-founded educational nonprofit MCS Beast Academy in her hometown in Alabama, and now spends most of her time researching at Stanford (Satpathy lab) and Dana Farber (Van Allen lab). In her free time, she loves to dance with Basmati Raas, bake, and spend time with family. Some other organizations she enjoys spending time with are Stanford Camp Kesem, BIOME, Cardinal Free Clinics, BMES, and SUMO.

Sophie is a rising senior at Stanford University studying Management Science & Engineering with a focus on Organizations, Technology, and Policy. Coming from a family of teachers, she is deeply invested in educational equity. At Stanford, she worked at Bing Research Center as a preschool teacher. She immersed herself in public service by working in both the House of Representatives and in philanthropic grantmaking in Los Angeles. She is currently continuing her efforts to advance systems change and improve early childhood education strategies at Clayton Early Learning in Denver, CO. In her free time, Sophie enjoys painting, sudoku puzzles, and ocean swimming!

Noah is passionate about improving the need for diversity within the technology industry, as well as eliminating the systemic inequality within education. Prior to working with SVB, Noah attended Miami University studying Finance with an emphasis in entrepreneurship. In his free time, Noah enjoys hiking with his wife and golden retriever, playing Settlers of Catan with friends, or reading the latest trending book about startups.

Olivia Szabo is a junior at Stanford University studying Urban Studies with a concentration in Cities in Comparative and Historical Perspective and a minor in Human Biology on the Global Health track. On campus, Olivia is involved in student radio, Stanford Marketing, and is president and regional community coordinator of J street U Stanford, a pro-Israel, pro-Palestine organization. In her quarantine-induced gap year, Olivia plans to continue her studies of Opera with her voice coach (over zoom), and read plenty of books.

Flora Troy is a sophomore at Stanford University who is majoring in human biology and minoring in education. At Stanford, she is involved with Flying Treehouse, a student organization that runs creative writing workshops at local elementary schools, turns the kid’s stories into rhymes and skits and songs, and performs them so the students can see their imagination come to life. She loves working with kids and is passionate about tackling systemic issues of education equity.

She is passionate about helping others in any possible way, and educating herself on current issues, such as the electronic inequality that she has witnessed during the pandemic. This experience will be her second time volunteering for an organisation in the US ( as she has been spending her summer breaks here since 2017), the first working to connect and rehabilitate people and find a job that fits them best. In her free time, she likes to play the piano, cook, and listen to all kinds of music.

Claire Wong is a freshman at Castilleja School who enjoys acting and learning about artificial intelligence. She feels like the digital divide is an especially pressing topic due to how the primary method for communication and work in COVID-19 is through technology. In her spare time she enjoys writing poetry on her poem blog, reading, watching Netflix with her family, and practicing archery.
